Starting April 15th, 2026 CLO will execute the first ever CLO Waist Watchers Challenge. It will run from April 15th through July 15th. Teams will be by home or program. Each team will have a Team Captain that will report biweekly weigh ins and fitness points for their consumers.
To encourage healthy practices, we will not go by total pounds lost but a percentage of change. For example, a person has an initial weigh in of 200 pounds. At the first biweekly weigh in the scale reads “180”. The “% Change” for that milestone would be 10%. To keep things simple, % change will convert to a simple point value (8% change = 8 points). That percentage will be rounded to the nearest whole number (4.3 rounds to 4, 5.8 rounds to 6).
For the sake of encouraging our consumers to adopt healthier habits, we will conduct and record additional opportunities for them to gain “Fitness Points”. These are activities that promote healthy activities and make it easier for them to participate (see below for a list of examples). These “Fitness Points” will only be available for consumers. “Alex’s Motivator Challenges” are available to any staff or consumer that feels comfortable trying them.
